About EmployESBC

EmployESBC is a Montreal-based employment initiative designed to support English-speaking and bilingualBlack job seekers in accessing meaningful employment opportunities across the Greater Montreal Area.

The initiative is led by the Black Community Resource Centre (BCRC) in partnership with the CommunityEconomic Development and Employability Corporation (CEDEC), the Quebec Board of Black Educators(QBBE), the Lester B. Pearson School Board, and other public, private, and civil society partners. Together,these partners work to strengthen employment pathways, improve access to career support, and connecttalented Black job seekers with employers seeking skilled and diverse candidates.

EmployESBC responds to the employment needs of Black English-speaking and bilingual communities byoffering practical, community-based support that helps participants prepare for, access, and remainconnected to the labour market.

The objective of EmployESBC is to enable businesses to fill vacant positions with English-speaking Black Quebecers that are educated and/or have experience in specific fields. As all event participants will be preselected, you are guaranteed to find candidates with the skills and qualifications that your business requires.
