Blood Drive
The organizing committee of the Dr. Charles Drew Blood Drive invites all citizens to give blood on Friday, May 27th, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Community Resource Centre located at 6767 Côte-des-Neiges Road in Montréal.
This fifth Dr. Charles Drew Blood Drive is being held in collaboration with various community organizations. The team of volunteers hopes to welcome large numbers of donors from all communities and remind everyone that just one blood donation can help save many lives. You can truly make a difference!
The collective blood supply belongs to all Quebecers. Knowing that there is a 60% probability that a person will require a blood transfusion some time in his or her life, blood drive organizers are appealing to the generosity of the population to maintain the blood supply at an adequate level. Each year, approximately 80,000 patients require blood products to regain their health.
Do you want to share your good health? What a wonderful way to help your community! Learn more about donor eligibility criteria by visiting the BLOOD DONATION section on Héma-Québec’s Web site (www.hema-quebec.qc.ca), or call our Donor Services at 1 800 847-2525.
All material used to collect blood is new, sterile and destroyed after use, so there is no danger of contracting a disease by giving blood.
